As you may know, I have created an audio content and radio syndication company called The New Normal.

Wednesday morning May 12th at 10 AM Pacific Time, The New Normal website goes live for the first time with the premiere of our first original production, and we would love for you to be a part of it.

Many listeners have been clamoring for me to make a return to hosting daily shows. That day will come.

In the meantime, we are proud to announce that our first daily podcast will be coming from two voices you know from our radio show.

Longtime producer and wingman, Gary Zabransky, and that tool of ignorance Dino DeMilio have reunited with me to bring you “The Gary & Dino Show”. These guys for years have been an integral part of “The Tom Leykis Show” and this daily podcast will be reflective of the sensibilities of our show from Gary & Dino’s own points of view.

“The Gary & Dino Show” launches with several episodes to get you started. Add it to your RSS feeds if you like. And be sure to give us your feedback!

The New Normal website is a perfect central location to learn about what we are doing next, to find ways to get and keep in touch, to let you know where we are on Facebook, Twitter, and our websites. President Obama has nominated Elena Kagan for the US Supreme Court.When she went through the conformation process to become Solicitor General, Kagan was widely considered fairly moderate. As Solicitor General, Kagan lost her first Supreme Case – Citizens’ United – raising questions of her inexperience… questions that will surely be raised again and again in the coming weeks.Until recently, Elena Kagan’s most public fight was banning military recruiters from the campus of Harvard Law on the grounds that Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was discriminatory. Kagan also has some former ties to Goldman Sachs that you can bet we’ll hear about – likely in a very exaggerated manner.Bill Clinton nominated Kagan back in 1999 to the US Court of Appeals, but Republicans blocked her nomination from making it to a confirmation vote. April marks four straight months of job creation – 290,000 jobs were added last month (231,000 private sector adds). February and March also were revised upwards. The unemployment rate ticked up to 9.9% as 805,000 people started looking for work again as hope begins to creep back.

While the bleeding has slowed or even stopped for much of Main Street , there have been 3 million small business jobs cut since the start of the recession and that hole still needs refilling.

Productivity also continues to rise partially on the backs of workers fearing for their jobs. And Thursday’s DOW plunge leaves behind a lot of questions.

Dear Leader...Who is and Who isn't a Citizen?
Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) is proposing a new law to strip Americans of their citizenship if they're involved with foreign terrorist organizations. Lieberman will introduce the bill, along with Rep. Jason Altmire of Pennsylvania. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) has expressed support as well. This bill would empower the State Department to decide -- on its own -- that Americans are conspiring with terror groups and should be stripped of their citizenship. Serving in the army of a foreign state or pledging allegiance to a foreign state would be considered so disloyalty could merit loss of citizen status. Lieberman's law would add involvement with a foreign terror organization -- as opposed to a foreign state -- to this list. Who would determine whether you're involved with a foreign terror group? The State Department would, and they would be "the Decider." Can you imagine the Bush State Department - or the Palin State Department - deciding that you are officially stripped of your citizenship, without a trial before a jury of your peers, in fact with no legal process whatsoever that conforms with the fifth through the eighth amendments of the constitution? Senators Lieberman and Schumer, if they are serious about this, are suggesting we should bring the battlefield of Afghanistan and Pakistan to the United States and destroy the Constitution. If they're so gung-ho to change America from a nation of laws to a dictatorship run by whoever is president, maybe they should renounce their own citizenship and move to Libya or North Korea or some other country where the "dear leader" can decide who is and who isn't a citizen?

American guns arm the thugs, as Mexico has some of the toughest gun laws on the planet, but cracking down on gun sellers north of the border has proved to be a frustrating endeavor. For example, one Arizona gun dealer was charged with selling hundreds of firearms (mostly AK-47’s) to smugglers – all charges were dismissed in March.And it’s not just American guns and pot laws fueling this madness – American teens also get seduced by the cash and perks that the cartels have to offer.Legalize to save lives - when the numbers are crunched, America ’s drug war is actually deadlier than Mexico’s. British Petroleum has laid out its 5 latest possible solutions to stop or slow the Gulf oil spill. BP also says to blame the owner of the rig and that their chemical dispersant agents appear to be helping. Obama spoke in Louisiana on Sunday.Freaks on the Right, attempting to make you forget about “drill, baby, drill,” have instead taken to calling this spill “Obama’s Katrina” – too bad the timeline doesn’t match up to their BS. Clinton made the point that if we are to save an aging America , we need to increase immigration.More states are eyeing their own anti-immigration legislation – several of them are tied to the same hate group forces that got their way in Arizona . At the federal level, Senate Dems prepare to take on immigration reform regardless of the GOP’s do-nothing stance.An Arizona sheriff has said that he will not be enforcing the state’s ridiculous anti-immigration law. After all, he’ll be sued if he does and sued if he doesn’t. Another Arizona sheriff came out against this crap before it was even law. And add former Bush Administration Homeland Security Sec. Spill, baby, SpillNOAA now estimates that up to 5,000 barrels of oil (210,000 gallons) could be spilling into the Gulf of Mexico each day - the slick could reach land by Friday evening.

AZ’s new anti-immigration law is steeped in white supremacy connections…
Kris Kobach is claiming victory in Arizona – he helped write the law. Kobach is currently running for Secretary of State in Kansas and he is a lawyer for the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). As chair of the Kansas GOP, Kobach was quite proud of illegally caging voters,
FAIR founder and current board member John Tanton has a long history of hate.
And then there’s Republican State Senator Russell Pearce, the freak that introduced the bill. Before last week, Pearce was known primarily for circulating a neo-Nazi article from the National Alliance (the people that brought you the Turner Diaries) and hanging out with another well-known neo-Nazi, J.T. Ready.
Meanwhile, an ICE audit showed that more than half of Arizona’s businesses had undocumented workers on their payrolls, the state is now asking the feds to help train its law enforcement to enforce the new racial profiling law – good luck with that, Jeb Bush, Karl Rove and Meghan McCain join the join the ranks of Republicans speaking out against the AZ law, Mexico just happens to be Arizona’s #1 trade partner – whoops, and from cutting healthcare to poor children to moving a pro-birther bill through its House, has Arizona’s government simply gone nuts?
Also today, Oklahoma’s government lays claim to your uterus, Goldman Sachs gets both grilled and richer on the same day, and Laura Bush believes that she and GWB were poisoned in Germany.

The Story of Skankles

Here is a Brief Story of 'Skankles' from May 14, 2009

Roy has a Best Friend-a really good friend for many years. He & Roy were Really close for many years. In fact I put him in My & Roy`s Wedding Vows because he was worried that I would come between him & Roy. He would come over Roys house every Monday Night before Roy met me- that is how our weekly LBC Wack Pack Monday Night Dinners came about. We Now have Monday Night Dinners for Roy & His buddies Every Monday -complete with Dinner & Movie.
This guy really has not had many girlfriends. He is a Really good Mid-west Boy who is true blue. This Guy met a Girl & has been seeing her for almost a year now. It is cool that he found a girlfriend. However she has some insecurities. She has been slowly 'Pussy-whipping' Roy`s friend. All of a sudden Roy`s friend has been acting differently when she is around, canceling plans with Roy to do stuff that she wants, He has been not as 'Animated' as usual. We see it all the time- it happens to the best of us, not really a big deal- usually things settle in after a few months. HOWEVER- She is Really uncomfortable with other girls around, especially Playboy girls.....and well- When you are friends with me & Roy, we are friends with Playboy girls- who (sorry to burst any ones bubble...) is just like any other girl.....they just want to hang with cool people & have a good time. They are really good friends of ours that mean a lot to us & will defend to the end- just like any of our friends.
Well this 'Girlfriend' tries to get herself & her boyfriend out of any event or situation that a Playboy girl will be around and if her boyfriend goes out with the guys and accidentally runs into a Playboy Girl, she will get bent out of shape & yell at her boyfriend! She will invite everyone to her events except Roy & I because of our Playboy friends & in fear we might invite or corrupt her guy. We tell her over & over that we were All friends with Playboy Girls way before we knew her & if her man really wanted a Playboy chick it would have happened already!
Anyway- there is A LOT to this story. Mainly made-up drama that she created but she somehow turned some of our friends against us. We had enough, so we talked to these friends & cleared the air, stating that we mean no harm & just want to be able to be friends with everybody & that Playboy or our Neighborhood friends are both important to us & that people are people & that we all should never Judge.Well she didn`t like the fact that we cleared the air, l think she actually liked having people against us so she can go hang with them & feel validated or something. Anyway- all in all- Roy`s friend, as he should-sided with his girl and is no longer friends with Roy. Roy is really sad- he thinks he lost his best friend to a girl that has no remorse in destroying a Life Long Bond!
So much more to tell- but l am exhausted from this stupid drama! I hope that Roy & his best friend get back together and never let a Petty Insecure Woman ever tear them apart again!

Arizona is on the verge of becoming a police state thanks to their new anti-immigration that even Tom Tancredo thinks goes too far. The state is already flat broke and now they stand to lose millions more in due to boycotts and employers concerned about legal immigrant workers being harassed. Add to that the estimated $26 billion Arizona would lose in economic activity if all the undocumented immigrants suddenly disappeared.
One of the many bizarre provisions of the bill allows for citizens to sue law enforcement agencies if they don’t think that the police are being tough enough - should be a field day for fee-hungry lawyers!
Myth busting: whether it’s higher crime or stolen jobs or not paying taxes, what you’ve heard likely bears little resemblance to fact.
By the way, the crazies aren’t confined to Arizona. South Carolina’s Lt. Gov. asserts that if we weren’t so lazy there would be no jobs for immigrants. As expected, Senate Republicans filibustered financial reform to halt last night. Harry Reid at least forced the freaks onto the floor and will continue to hold votes to expose them.
Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs execs are being grilled on Capital Hill today (video below) – investor lawsuits against Goldman have already been filed. 42,000 gallons of oil are spilling into the Gulf each day from the sunken offshore rig.
And, according to Snoops.com, false anti-Obama internet rumors vastly outnumber the anti-Bush rumors, both in volume and lunacy.These stories, your calls, and much more on today’s Randi Rhodes Show!
